Birds in Israel
Israel is an excellent place for birders and birding. Located on the rout of the bird migration from Europe and Asia to Africa and back. Over 500 species can be seen in Israel. The narrow pass over Israel (30-50 km, bounded by the Mediterranean sea on the west and the desert on the east) , forces the migration to concentrate in a small area, making it a heaven for birders.
